Some of the sketches here are really impressive! The next part is dedicated to Otomo’s work on animated movies with black & white research on characters, vehicles and environments, and some colour renditions of the various shots he worked on. This is follower by another comic, this time about Batman, over 8 pages. Then there’s a four-page comic entitled “Orbital Era” (in Japanese). The first part features some epic artworks about Akira, Steamboy, Memories, SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers and many more that I don’t even know.Īs you can see, this part of the book covers a great amount of Otomo’s works with some amazing pieces, either in part, full or double-pages. Kaba 2’s content is divided in six parts: Illustrations, Orbital Era, Batman the Third Mask, Animations & more, Cannon Fodder and Garage Collection. It contains a multitude of Otomo’s artworks, some pages are in the form of folded posters, it’s a pretty amazing book. Kaba 2 is a big and cool looking book and it comes in a cardboard box that is very similar to the book’s cover. ![]() Here’s a tribute artbook to Katsuhiro Otomo. ![]() ![]() ![]() Akira, Memories, SteamBoy and many others are almost considered like masterpieces and they deserve it. A very famous name in the universe of the manga and japanese animation.
